Master study program „Mechanical Engineering“, specialization „Process Engineering”
The theoretical basis is further compounded by professional disciplines that are focused on momentum, heat and mass transfer and also on physical chemistry. Subsequent profiling subjects include hydro, thermal and diffusion separation processes and reactors, and then design subjects. Student is also acquainted in subjects with the issue of production lines designing. The issues of equipment design for environmental safety and protection are also an integral part of education. Graduates will learn the methods how to obtain actual scientific information, methods of experimental data acquisition and evaluation. They are led to systematic design and evaluation of techno-economical alternatives of processes, concepts of processing lines and detailed solutions of partial systems of machines and equipment. They are able to calculate strength of pressure vessels, to individually design it and to solve problems of designing production lines. These profiled mechanical engineers are quickly able to adapt in research, in development and in design of machines, production lines and factories in engineering, engineering and supply companies and organizations. Graduates typically find an employment in chemical, food and consumer industry, but also in primary areas of mining and processing of raw materials, in power plants, agriculture, pharmaceutical industry, services and other elements of infrastructure.
