The Department of Process Engineering of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague is engaged in designing technologies, design and construction of machinery and equipment for food, chemical and process industries, ecology and waste treatment technologies. Typical outputs of our design and construction activities are distillation columns, filters, mixers, heat exchangers, dryers, reactors and bioreactors. For example, a distillation column can be found in both ethanol production and oil processing. Filters and heat exchangers are used for waste water treatment and gas purification, for beer production, but they are also found in each car. Mixing equipment can be found not only in households, but also in chocolate production technologies, in  production of paints, tires, plastics reactors, or aerobic or anaerobic bioreactors. When the Faculty of Engineering is said, these machines are imagined only by few people, although they help to create products without which we can not imagine our lives. In terms of GDP, our scope covers more than 40 % of the total volume of industry.
